This, that and the other

Things have been kind of busy around here. I had hoped to get some new work done to submit to a juried show for artists whose primary medium is paper; alas, trying to clean and pack for a road trip to Savannah, Georgia, for a friend’s wedding proved all-consuming over the last few weeks and I watched sadly as the June 1 deadline came and went. Plus, you know, work really gets in the way of everything, too.

We were in Savannah last weekend. The trip itself was alright; one of the main highlights, however was discovering a lovely little stationery shop called Le Paperie. Alas, they have no web site (at least not that I could find), but I did find a nice little write-up over at Decor8. Against my impulse, I bought only one set of cards by R. Nichols for the lovely Jen A.

So the only thing I’ve been *really* working on is a wedding, which started as invitations but has since grown to include programs, escort cards, table numbers and thank-you cards. Currently, my major hurdle is trying to get the right lime green…

It’s not a lot of fun though, as I’m a little oversaturated on weddings at the moment. I’ve got some great ideas for non-wedding stuff, and I have no doubt that once I crank out a few Whatever-I-Want things, my mojo will come groovin’ on back.
